The Mercat de l’Olivar is th biggest indoor market of the city of Palma located at the heart of the city. It was built in 1951 – when the market moved from its original open-air location in Plaza Major– and renovated twice, in 1997 and 2003. It holds 115 stalls, the fish section being prominent among them with 39 fish stalls. It has 388 parking places, bars, restaurants and a library.
With traditional fresh food, seasonal and locally grown products, as well as international choices, and numerous eateries offering a wide range of fresh foods including fish and seafood, sushi, ham, meats, cheeses and much more.
